iPhone is Disabled? How to Fix With or Without Connecting to iTunes

Every smartphone comes with new security features, be it locking with your fingerprint, code, pattern or any other way, there is yet one way that can really be a little annoying when it comes to safety features. This feature gets activated when someone tries to unlock your device without your permission, with most smartphones it gets to a point where the owner doesn’t even have priority to unlock the device. If you have faced this problem then I am sure that you had a real headache unlocking your device.

For most smartphones users like for android users, they have to enter in their email id to get access to a new password and for iOS device users, they have to connect to iTunes and sign in with their Apple id which makes things really complicated. This security does offer a  higher security but also improvises the usability of using the device right after it has been locked due to multiple unauthorized unlocking attempts. And today I am going to talk about one such obstacle which is the iPhone is Disabled? How to Fix With or Without Connecting to iTunes. So without further due let us have a look at the problem and its solution in detail.

iPhone is Disabled!!! What causes this issue?

Like all other smartphones, iPhone also creates a lockdown sequence after multiple unlocking attempts by unauthorized. There are different attempts involved while unlocking and locking down an iPhone permanently until you use the iTunes to unlock a device. Let us have a look at the number of unauthorized attempts and what they can cause while an iPhone gets locked.

Here is what happens when someone tries to unlock your iPhone without your permission:

1st Attempt: First 6 wrong guesses or attempts will cause any iPhone to lock itself down for 1 minute until next attempt is allowed.

2nd Attempt: Second 7 wrong guesses or attempts will cause any iPhone to lock itself down for 5 minutes until next attempt is allowed.

3rd Attempt: Third 8 wrong guesses or attempt will cause any iPhone to lock itself down for 15 minutes until next attempt is allowed.

4th Attempt: Fourth 9 wrong guesses or attempt will cause any iPhone to lock itself down for 60 minutes until next attempt is allowed.

5th & Last Attempt: Fifth and Last 10 wrong guesses or attempt will cause any iPhone to lock itself until it is connected to the iTunes.

So, if you notice here, it takes a while until the iPhone security system locks itself completely until you need the iTunes to unlock it. But once it gets locked down for the 5th time, you will need to connect to iTunes and if you are already at the borderline where you need to connect to iTunes then I will show you how you can do it easily.

(NOTE: There will be a lot of attempts that you can make before the iPhone will require the iTunes to be connected to unlock the iPhone over again. But note that if you have crossed the 10 tries mark and you will now require iTunes, you will not be able to recover any data from your iPhone. Until the last 9 attempts you can and will have the option and priority of having all the data safe but after the last attempt you can only unlock the iPhone but will not be able to save any of the data. )
